Summer?

Wow.  It looks like I've managed to go all summer without a single post.  Not that this surprises me since I would swear just yesterday I was picking Garrett up after his last day of school.  Here's a quick look at our summer through pictures (which hadn't been uploaded since the beginning of June!)

 

Last day of School

 Garrett kicked off the summer in Florida.  Mike and I took advantage of our time alone and went camping.

 

 

 We were able to celebrate Mike's sister's marriage to an awesome guy with his amazing family.

 

 

 Garrett and a few of his baseball teammates got to march around the field before a game at our local AA field.  The fireworks afterwards may have been the best I've ever seen.

 

 

There was a wonderful week at the beach (where my whole body seems to breath a little lighter).  We spent the week with my dad and stepmom who were gracious enough to let Mike and I out alone to celebrate our anniversary.

 

 

We did some peach picking and preserving.

 



 

Lots of cooking really great local foods and I stumbled into my latest obsession: canning.  I've got about 30lbs of peaches and 50lbs of tomatoes put up.

 

 

 

Mike celebrated another birthday at home and we spent my birthday in Cape May at our favorite B&B.

 

But now we are back to school and back to a little lighter schedule. 

 

Garrett was rewarded after his first day of 2nd grade with our first EGG.

 



 

And that was our wonderful summer in review.
