Cavities

I would be lying if I said I didn't feel like a terrible parent last week when the dentist told me Garrett has two cavities in his baby teeth.  I won't say we're perfect, but we only miss a few teeth brushings a week and I make the kid brush for a full minute every time.  I was really against giving Garrett flouride tablets because of the research I've read but I got him a prescprition.  We will see how long we stick with it because I'm still not super comfortable with it.

And apparently having cavities filled is not as tramatizing for a 6 year old as I thought it would be.

I was really prepared for a complete disaster, but as you can tell, he took it like a champ.  I really recommend "Berenstain Bears Go to the Dentist" and Little Critters "Just Going to the Dentist".  They both explained the whole process really well and Garrett was totally prepared for what was going to happen.

Cabin Fever

I feel a little like this theme is a joke in Maryland this year.  Especially up in the Hereford zone.  We've had some great snow storms the last few years and frigid winters that have left me dying to get out of the house and definitely feeling like I have cabin fever.  But this year has been freakishly non-winter.  So while I haven't really felt as trapped in the house by snow and cold, I am really enjoying these longer hours and looking forward to the planting season right around the corner.

And I'm officially caught up!

True love

So I realize this picture should have been valentine's themed but this dog and her sticks.... it's true love.  And it's also why the lightening is so bad, she chases this thing around at speeds I am not capable of capturing on film.  I had to wait a good 20 minutes until she slowed down enough for a picture.  Any tips on getting action shots?  Do I just need a different lense?

Drink up!

Quality time with one of my favorite people and my new go-to drinks.  Apple cider margarita.  Amazing!

Shadow

I had a hard time with this one, trying to figure out when I could get a decent shadow because honestly, most of our acre of land is one big shadow.
